This document summarizes a range of possible techniques for the repair
of continuous media streams subject to packet loss.  The techniques
discussed include redundant transmission, retransmission, interleaving
and forward error correction.  The range of applicability of these
techniques is noted, together with the protocol requirements and
dependencies.  This document is the product of the Audio/Video
Transport Working Group of the IETF.

This memo provides information for the Internet community.  This memo
does not specify an Internet standard of any kind.  Distribution of
this memo is unlimited.
